It has well furnished rooms and amazing location right by Kaikoura lookout on the way to the accommodation for breathtaking views of the bay, and the mountains. Thanks to the host for contributing to our relaxing experience of one night. This beautiful and lovely apartment is based down to the northern part of the peninsula. It's nestled in beautiful building.

Loved the stunning mountain views and the option to go fishing or whale spotting. Free parking and BBQ facilities were a bonus, but I guess if you like cooking for yourself on vacation, it's a big deal.
Being surrounded by beautiful gardens and having a kitchenette in the room was tough. how dare they make me feel at home!

We had a fantastic stay for one night at First Light Kaikoura. The apartment has a stunning and exceptional location right on the waterfront, nestled in a gorgeous building. It's not far from the snow-clad mountains, the peninsula, and the seal colony. The flat is lovely and beautiful - we strongly recommend it.

We had a fantastic stay at First Light! The hosts were welcoming and made us feel at home. The property is situated on a quiet hill overlooking the ocean, offering stunning views. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Amenities like free wifi, a kitchenette, and on-site washer were great. There is also a walkway across the street that leads to a famous seafood BBQ truck and connects to the peninsula walk. Tracy, the owner, was lovely and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!
I do recommend this hotel.

My stay at this mind-blowing duplex apartment was absolutely amazing! The views of the snow-capped mountains from the bedroom were jaw-dropping and the owners and their little daughter were absolutely delightful. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, even inviting me to join them for dinner at a local restaurant. The location was perfect, just a short drive from the main area with plenty of restaurants and shops. I also loved the fact that free Wi-Fi was available in the rooms and the apartment had all the necessary amenities like an electric kettle and kitchen utensils. The cleanliness of the rooms was top-notch and the air conditioning ensured a comfortable stay. Tracy, the host, was warm and cute, providing lots of information about things to do and places to eat. The accommodation attached to the family home was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home during our stay. The property was located on a beautiful hill with great views of the ocean. We enjoyed the amenities provided, including free wifi and a kitchenette for our convenience.
The location of the hotel was not ideal for those without a car, as it was a few minutes' drive from the town center. The bathroom was located downstairs, making it inconvenient to access from the upstairs bedroom.
